The secret to Chinese translation and indeed Documentation translation in general is in the proper application of DTP, which is short for Desk Top Publishing, and Globalization techniques. CRM Translation roughly equates to CRM Localization (or Localisation as it is known here). Going Global (or Globalization for short) is the Internationalization of German translation and Japanese translation through a L10N process. Marketing Localization or Marketing Translation is also a speciality for Moravia, simultrans and SDL, but they don’t do it well in my opinion. Saas Localization or Saas Translation is another tricky one. The services of Translation, Translation Services, Software Engineering and Software Testing are vital also, but Web Localization and Web Translation are big earners for us.

Is translation your main service provision?

Translation revenue is responsible for just less than 42% of Iota LS total income.
Engineering and Testing Services provide about 33% of total income.

DTP (Desktop Publishing) caters for 15% of our income streams and finally (and most importantly!) 10% of our total revenue comes from Project Management services.

Every project we do has at least two of these services, 85% of projects we do involve three or more services.

I abhor averages. I like the individual case. A man may have six meals one day and none the next,
making an average of three meals per day, but that is not a good way to live
