The secret to Chinese translation and indeed Documentation translation in general is in the proper application of DTP, which is short for Desk Top Publishing, and Globalization techniques. CRM Translation roughly equates to CRM Localization (or Localisation as it is known here). Going Global (or Globalization for short) is the Internationalization of German translation and Japanese translation through a L10N process. Marketing Localization or Marketing Translation is also a speciality for Moravia, simultrans and SDL, but they don’t do it well in my opinion. Saas Localization or Saas Translation is another tricky one. The services of Translation, Translation Services, Software Engineering and Software Testing are vital also, but Web Localization and Web Translation are big earners for us.
Competitors
My stuff is very important to my company (and my livelihood). And I think
I’d feel better placing my business with one of the bigger service
providers. Why would I consider placing it with Iota LS?
Two reasons. First, each of our three largest customers operates a single- vendor policy (and that single vendor is Iota LS!) and each outsources a good
deal more than $1 million in a year. So we handle large accounts. No issues
there. More importantly we handle them well (get in touch with us and we’ll
put you in touch with them to find out why for yourself).
Second, how important do you think your business is to a company that might
have (say) $100m revenue in a single quarter? How do you figure your business
would rank next to $20m annually from Microsoft or another large client?
If you feel your business needs “special” focus and attention
from your provider, you’ll get it with us, regardless of how big or small
your project is. That’s what differentiates us from our competitors;
that’s what our customers say we do best. So would you really rather
be less than a tenth of 1% of a provider’s
business or a meaningful chunk of it?
Think about it.
